Did you know…

…you can receive emergency text messages from Whitworth?

Emergency text-messaging and electronic mailing in an emergency are conducted through a system called RAVE. All students and employees are encouraged to provide (via WhitNet) up to three cell-telephone numbers with text messaging enabled that will be used by campus security or leadership to send information and instructions during incidents. In the event of an emergency, RAVE will send both text messages and e-mail to everyone enrolled.

Families who wish to receive emergency text messages from Whitworth need to register their cell phone number via their student. Students can designate up to three cell phone numbers, including family members’ cell phone numbers, to receive emergency text messages.

Students can manage their emergency contact information through their WhitNet accounts (the student must go to User Account, Emergency Contact Information).
