Some common adjustments for first-year college students during the month of November.
- Midterm grades returned
- Time management issues trying to balance the demands of school, work, family, and social life
- Roommate challenges may intensify
- Excitement/anxiety about going home for Thanksgiving
- First series of campus-wide illness (colds, flu)
Tip: if your student is coming home for Thanksgiving, make sure to give them time and space for a nap (or three).
